The EasyScan Image Scanning System consists of a desktop scanner and theEasyScan scanning software. Pictronics supports most popular scanners,including Microtek, HP, Fujitsu, and Sharp, to meet your diverse scanningrequirements -- from 600 dpi desktop color scanners to high-end 2400 dpi36-bit prepress color scanners. EasyScan can scan text and photographsin 1-bit monochrome, 8-bit grayscale, and 24-bit true color. With anoptional automatic document feeder, the scanning system can performunattended, autoscanning up to 50 pages. An optional transparency mediaadapter is also available. In addition, the EasyScan Image ScanningSystem has a direct interface to Pictronics' DigitalPhoto image editingsoftware, and EasyRead OCR software, such that scanning and scannercontrol can be done within the application software.The EasyScan Image Scanning System is a component of the ImageWorxproduct suite, which consists of the EasyScan, EasyRead OCR software, andDigitalPhoto Image Editing software. Depending upon your imagingapplications, these modules can work independently or as an integratedimaging suite. All the products use a consistent Motif graphical userinterface and X Window System on most UNIX platforms including SPARC, HP,IBM, Silicon Graphics, DEC, UnixWare, and SCO.The EasyScan scanning software allows the user to preview, adjustcontrast and brightness, scan, sharpen, invert, rotate, flip, crop,resize, and pixel-edit images. A Developer Toolkit is also available fordevelopers who wish to integrate scanning functions into theirapplications.
